Saṅkṣepa (concise narration)
In Navadvīpa, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu encouraged the citizens to chant the holy names together. The order spread from street to street, and then from home to home — a universal invitation: anyone, anywhere, can begin by hearing and chanting.
ghare ghare saṅkīrtana karite lāgilā"
The Lord ordered all the citizens of Navadvīpa to chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, and in each and every home they began performing saṅkīrtana regularly.

ŚB 12.3.51 — the "one great quality" of Kali
कीर्तनादेव कृष्णस्य मुक्तसङ्ग: परं व्रजेत् ॥ kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann… kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya… Meaning: Simply by kīrtana of Kṛṣṇa's name, one becomes free and attains the supreme destination.
ŚB 11.5.32 — saṅkīrtana as the yajña of Kali
यज्ञै: सङ्कीर्तनप्रायैर्यजन्ति हि सुमेधस: ॥ kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇaṁ… yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair… Meaning: The intelligent worship the Lord in Kali‑yuga chiefly by saṅkīrtana‑yajña.

Universality: saṅkīrtana is accessible to every person — no prerequisite of wealth, birthplace, or scholarship.
Protection: the holy name is described as the special mercy for Kali‑yuga.
