Japa Time by Location — sunrise-based brāhma-muhūrta window
This page helps you find a calm and auspicious morning window for japa based on your location. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that brāhma-muhūrta is about one and a half hours before sunrise, and spiritual activities performed then have a stronger effect.
Sunrise/sunset times are calculated by coordinates worldwide (no manual city lists). Data source: Open-Meteo (geocoding + sunrise/sunset).
Tip: Choose a city to get timezone-correct results. If you use device geolocation, the calculator still works by coordinates.
Tap the counter area (or use the +1 button) to count a bead. If you have a physical keyboard, Space works when the counter is focused. Rounds auto-complete at 108 beads. Your progress is saved locally on this device.
Tip: If you calculated your location, the toolkit can also set a local alarm for the next brāhma-muhūrta start (works while this page stays open).
Track consistency (streak) locally. Share a link that opens this page with your chosen location pre-filled.
Local alarm uses the browser Notification API if allowed; otherwise it shows an in-page message. It does not require any server and does not send data anywhere.
