These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of JAPA TIME's ("we," "our," or "us") 24/7 Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra Meditation services. As a non-commercial spiritual initiative based on Vedic scriptures and Vaishnava tradition, these Terms reflect our spiritual principles rather than commercial interests.

1. Spiritual Nature of Service

JAPA TIME is a free spiritual service dedicated to the congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra. Our platform operates according to the principles of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu and the teachings of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our 24/7 chanting sessions, you acknowledge and agree to:

  • Participate in Śrī Nāma Saṅkīrtana with proper spiritual mood
  • Maintain respect for all participants and the sacred nature of the chanting
  • Follow the basic etiquette of Zoom saṅkīrtana (mute microphone, etc.)
  • Not use the service for any commercial or inappropriate purposes

3. Scriptural Guidelines

Our service operates according to the following Vedic principles:

Śrī Nāma Mahima

The holy name is identical with the Supreme Personality of Godhead (Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta 1.17.22)

Nāma Saṅkīrtana

Collective chanting is the yuga-dharma for Kali-yuga (Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 12.3.51)

Viśva-vairāgya

Detachment from material enjoyment while engaging in spiritual service (Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 1.2.6)

4. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to observe the following spiritual etiquette:

  • Respectful Participation: Join with proper spiritual intent and respect for all
  • Audio Guidelines: Keep microphone muted unless leading kīrtana
  • Sanātana Dharma: Not engage in political, sectarian, or controversial discussions
  • Sāttvika Behavior: Maintain cleanliness and sobriety during participation
  • Guru-sevā: Respect all spiritual authorities and traditions

5. Non-Commercial Status

JAPA TIME is a completely free, non-commercial spiritual initiative:

  • No fees, subscriptions, or donations are accepted
  • No commercial advertisements or promotions are permitted
  • No data is collected for commercial purposes
  • All services are offered as spiritual charity (dāna)

6. Intellectual Property

All spiritual content, including chanting, mantras, and scriptural references, belong to the paramparā (disciplic succession) and are offered for spiritual purposes only. No commercial use or modification is permitted.

7. Limitation of Liability

According to Vedic wisdom, spiritual progress depends on individual sincerity and grace. We make no guarantees regarding spiritual outcomes. Participation is at your own discretion and responsibility.

8. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services based on spiritual guidance and practical considerations. Changes will be communicated in accordance with spiritual principles.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes regarding service will be resolved according to Vedic principles of reconciliation (śānti) and scriptural guidance, prioritizing spiritual harmony over legal formalities.

10. Termination

We may restrict access to participants who violate spiritual principles or disrupt the saṅkīrtana. Such decisions will be made prayerfully and with spiritual consideration.

11. Governing Scripture

These Terms are governed by and interpreted according to:

  • Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā
  • Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
  • Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta
  • Teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda and the paramparā
