স্বপ্নে দেখে, সেই বালক সম্মুখে আসিঞা ।
এক কুঞ্জে লঞা গেল হাতেতে ধরিঞা ॥ ৩৫ ॥

svapne dekhe, sei bālaka sammukhe āsiñā eka kuñje lañā gela hātete dhariñā

In a dream, the same boy takes Mādhavendra Purī by the hand and leads him to a thicket.

‘শ্রীগোপাল’ নাম মোর, — গোবর্ধনধারী ।
বজ্রের স্থাপিত, আমি ইহাঁ অধিকারী ॥ ৪১ ॥

‘śrī-gopāla’ nāma mora, — govardhana-dhārī vajrera sthāpita, āmi ihāṅ adhikārī

The boy identifies Himself as Gopāla, the lifter of Govardhana.

এত বলি’ সে-বালক অন্তর্ধান কৈল ।
জাগিয়া মাধবপুরী বিচার করিল ॥ ৪৪ ॥

eta bali’ se-bālaka antardhāna kaila jāgiyā mādhava-purī vicāra karila

The boy disappears and Mādhavendra Purī wakes, pondering the dream.

ক্ষণেক রোদন করি, মন কৈল ধীর ।
আজ্ঞা-পালন লাগি’ হইলা সুস্থির ॥ ৪৬ ॥

kṣaṇeka rodana kari, mana kaila dhīra ājñā-pālana lāgi’ ha-ilā susthira

Mādhavendra Purī gathers himself to carry out Gopāla's instruction.

অত্যন্ত নিবিড় কুঞ্জ, — নারি প্ৰবেশিতে ।
কুঠারি কোদালি লহ দ্বার করিতে ॥ ৪৯ ॥

atyanta niviḍa kuñja, — nāri praveśite kuṭhāri kodāli laha dvāra karite

Mādhavendra Purī calls the local people and tells them about Gopāla.

শুনি’ লোক তাঁর সঙ্গে চলিলা হরিষে ।
কুঞ্জ কাটি’ দ্বার করি’ করিলা প্ৰবেশে ॥ ৫০ ॥

śuni’ loka tāṅra saṅge calilā hariṣe kuñja kāṭi’ dvāra kari’ karilā praveśe

The villagers joyfully follow him and clear a path through the dense thicket.

ঠাকুর দেখিল মাটী-তৃণে আচ্ছাদিত ।
দেখি’ সব লোক হৈল আনন্দে বিস্মিত ॥ ৫১ ॥

ṭhākura dekhila māṭī-tṛṇe ācchādita dekhi’ saba loka haila ānande vismita

They see the Deity covered with earth and grass and are filled with wonder and joy.

আবরণ দূর করি’ করিল বিদিতে ।
মহা-ভারী ঠাকুর — কেহ নারে চালাইতে ॥ ৫২ ॥

āvaraṇa dūra kari’ karila vidite mahā-bhārī ṭhākura — keha nāre cālāite

They clean the Deity of earth and find Him too heavy for one person to move.
