Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna behold Mahā-Viṣṇu and return the brāhmaṇa’s sons

Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna behold Mahā-Viṣṇu and return the brāhmaṇa’s sons
Darśana of Mahā-Viṣṇu ŚB 10.89.45–61
Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna behold Mahā-Viṣṇu and return the brāhmaṇa’s sons

Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)

In ŚB 10.89.45 Lord Kṛṣṇa stops Arjuna from despising himself for being unable to return the brāhmaṇa’s children and promises to show him the sons. They set off westward on the divine chariot (10.89.46), cross the seven islands, oceans and Lokāloka Mountain, and enter a region of total darkness (10.89.47). The Sudarśana disc dispels the darkness (10.89.50), and the chariot reaches the endless spiritual radiance of the brahmajyoti (10.89.51). Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna then enter a spiritual ocean and see a radiant palace with jeweled pillars (10.89.52), where Ananta Śeṣa rests with thousands of hoods (10.89.53). On the serpent bed Arjuna beholds Mahā-Viṣṇu: His complexion resembles a dark rain cloud, He wears yellow garments, the Kaustubha gem, the Śrīvatsa mark and a forest-flower garland, and He has eight long, handsome arms (10.89.54–56). Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna bow before Him (10.89.57). Mahā-Viṣṇu explains that He brought the sons there because He desired to see Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna (10.89.58). After receiving His instruction, they take the sons back to Dvārakā and present them to the brāhmaṇa in the same infant bodies in which they disappeared (10.89.60–61). The count of ten infants follows the sequence of events in the chapter; their arrangement in two rows, lotus cradles, dolphins, palace architecture and the color design of the spiritual ocean in the illustration are artistic reconstruction.

Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)

When another son of the brāhmaṇa disappears and Arjuna condemns himself, Kṛṣṇa promises to show him all the children. On a divine chariot they cross beyond the material universe, following the radiance of Sudarśana, and reach the spiritual ocean. In a palace upon Ananta Śeṣa they behold eight-armed Mahā-Viṣṇu. The Lord explains that He brought the sons there because He desired to see Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna. Taking all ten children, Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna return to Dvārakā and present them to their joyful father.

1. Do not remain in self-condemnation
If you face failure today, turn to Kṛṣṇa and take the next honest step instead of destroying yourself with blame.
2. Remember who illuminates the way
During japa, ask Sudarśana and the Holy Name to dispel an inner darkness that cannot be overcome by your strength alone.
3. Read the exact source
Read ŚB 10.89.45–61, especially verses 54–58 on the darśana of Mahā-Viṣṇu and the reason the brāhmaṇa’s sons disappeared.
I brought the brāhmaṇa’s sons here because I wanted to see the two of you, My expansions, who have descended to the earth to save the principles of religion.
