Pramāṇa (scriptural source)
Mahabharata — the Kurukshetra war: Krishna breaks His own non-combat vow and rushes toward Bhishma with a chariot wheel, while Arjuna holds Him back.
Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)
When devotion is tested by duty and danger, the Lord shows that His love for His devotee is stronger than any promise. Krishna's sudden step forward is not anger—it is protection. Arjuna's restraint is not disobedience—it is loving responsibility.
Śāstra-pramāṇa (proof from śāstra)
Krishna, though He vowed not to fight, lifts a chariot wheel and moves toward Bhishma when Arjuna is in crisis.
Arjuna stops Krishna with urgency and reverence, choosing to stand by his responsibility and protect the Lord's vow.
Bhishma remains fearless and fixed in his service, ready to receive the Lord's will.
Tattva (essential teaching)
The Supreme Lord protects His devotees personally, even in the most difficult moments.
A true devotee protects the Lord's honor and follows dharma with steady heart.
Divine guidance appears before destruction: mercy comes first, even on a battlefield.
