Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)
In ŚB 10.34.20–24 Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma enjoy the night forest of Vṛndāvana with the gopīs. In verses 25–26 Śaṅkhacūḍa, a servant of Kuvera, appears and begins driving the young women north. Hearing their call, the brothers promise protection and give chase (10.34.27–28). Śaṅkhacūḍa abandons the gopīs and flees; Balarāma remains to protect them while Kṛṣṇa continues the pursuit (10.34.29–30). In verse 32 Kṛṣṇa returns with Śaṅkhacūḍa’s shining crest jewel and, with great satisfaction, presents it to His elder brother as the gopīs watch. The illustration depicts this peaceful concluding moment. The arrangement of figures, garment colors, flowers, and moonlight are artistic reconstruction.
Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)
When Śaṅkhacūḍa tried to lead the gopīs away, they called out to Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma. The brothers hurried to protect them. Balarāma remained with the gopīs while Kṛṣṇa pursued the offender. After rescuing them, Kṛṣṇa returned with the brilliant crest jewel and, before the gopīs, gladly presented it to His elder brother Balarāma.
