Pramāṇa (scriptural source)
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.13 — the appearance of Lord Varāha and the lifting of Bhū-devī from the depths of the cosmic waters.
Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)
When the Earth (Bhū-devī) is submerged beneath the cosmic ocean, the Supreme Lord appears as Śrī Varāha, the divine Boar incarnation of Viṣṇu. With irresistible strength and compassion, He rises from the waters and lifts Bhū-devī, protecting her from destruction. Surrounded by divine radiance, the Lord reveals that the universe rests on His mercy, and that He personally descends to save His devotee and restore dharma.
