Home Offering Guide

A simple home offering can help make cooking and eating part of remembrance and devotional service.

This guide is offered as a practical devotional aid for personal sādhana. It does not replace the guidance of guru, sādhus, śāstra, local ISKCON authorities, temple pūjārīs, or senior Vaiṣṇavas. For formal Deity worship and temple service, please follow your local authorized standards.

Simple home practice

  • Cook in cleanliness and a peaceful mood.
  • Do not taste the food before offering.
  • Do not use meat, fish, eggs, onion, garlic, alcohol, or unsuitable ingredients.
  • Place a portion on a separate clean plate for Kṛṣṇa.
  • Offer prayers to Śrīla Prabhupāda, guru, and Lord Kṛṣṇa.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Honor the food as prasāda with gratitude.
This is a simple home practice guide. For Deity worship and formal offerings, follow your local ISKCON standards.
