Narakasura-vadha-lila — Lord Krishna kills Narakasura and restores divine order

Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Canto 10, Chapter 59 — after hearing from Indra about Narakasura’s offenses, Lord Krishna goes with Queen Satyabhama on Garuda to Pragjyotishapura, destroys the demon’s defenses and armies, and finally kills Narakasura as he fights from the back of an elephant.

Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)

This lila reveals the Lord’s irresistible power and His role as the restorer of cosmic order. Narakasura, intoxicated by strength and conquest, steals sacred treasures and oppresses many innocent beings. Lord Krishna does not tolerate such demonic arrogance forever. Riding on Garuda with Satyabhama, He breaks through the demon’s fortifications, destroys his allies, and finally slays Narakasura with His Sudarshana disc. The lila shows that adharma may appear powerful for a time, but before Bhagavan it cannot stand.
