Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)
Chaitanya-caritamrita and Chaitanya-bhagavata describe the meeting at Shantipura after Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu accepted sannyasa. Brought there by the arrangement of Nityananda Prabhu, Mahaprabhu met His mother, Saci-mata, in a moment filled with deep separation, maternal love, and spiritual gravity.
Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)
This lila reveals one of the most heartbreaking and sacred exchanges in Gaudiya Vaishnava history. Saci-mata sees her beloved Nimai again, but no longer as the youthful householder son of Navadvipa. He now stands before her as a sannyasi, with shaven head and saffron cloth, belonging outwardly to the whole world. Yet the bond of motherly love is not diminished. Rather, it becomes deeper, purified by separation, surrender, and spiritual recognition. The lila shows that divine love does not disappear in renunciation — it becomes more intense, more pure, and more eternal.
