Ugrasena regains the kingdom — Lord Krishna restores the rightful king to the throne

Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Canto 10, Chapter 44 — after killing Kamsa, Lord Krishna restores King Ugrasena to the throne of Mathura and returns the kingdom to its rightful ruler.

Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)

This lila reveals the Lord’s perfect humility and His commitment to dharma. Although Krishna is the Supreme Lord and could rule everything directly, He does not seize the kingdom for Himself. Instead, after removing the tyrant Kamsa, He restores the throne to the elder King Ugrasena, the rightful ruler of the Yadus. The scene shows that the Lord does not act out of ambition, but to reestablish righteousness, honor proper order, and protect His devotees.
