JAPA TIME

A gentle repair kit for daily chanting

24/7 LIVE CHANTING

Japa Troubleshooter

Practical Vaiṣṇava help for common japa obstacles: sleepiness, phone distraction, criticism, anxiety, haste, guilt and mechanical chanting.

This guide is offered as a practical devotional aid for personal sādhana. It does not replace the guidance of guru, sādhus, śāstra, local ISKCON authorities, temple pūjārīs, or senior Vaiṣṇavas. For formal Deity worship and temple service, please follow your local authorized standards.

Choose one obstacle and one next step

Sleepiness

Prepare earlier: sleep on time, wash the face, sit upright and chant at least one round before using the phone.

Phone distraction

Use airplane mode for one round. If a task appears in the mind, write one word and return to hearing.

Mechanical chanting

Slow down for several mantras and hear syllable by syllable without forcing emotion.

Criticism

Pause the inner conversation and offer a prayer for the devotee. Criticism dries the tongue before the Name.

Anxiety

Address Kṛṣṇa as protector, then return the attention to the sound of the mahā-mantra.

Haste

Choose one round to chant without measuring speed. Quality protects quantity.

Guilt

Acknowledge the weakness, take shelter again, and do one small sincere step today.

No taste

Continue respectfully. Taste is invited by steady service, hearing and avoiding offenses.

Gentle rule: Do not use difficulty as a reason to abandon the Holy Name. Begin again, more humbly.
