Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Canto 10, Chapter 44 — after killing Kamsa, Lord Krishna and Lord Balarama free Devaki and Vasudeva from prison and bow down at their feet.
Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)
This lila reveals both the tenderness and majesty of the Supreme Lord. After ending Kamsa’s tyranny, Krishna and Balarama go at once to Their imprisoned mother and father and release them from bondage. Although They are the Lords of the universe, They act as obedient sons, bowing at their parents’ feet with deep humility. Devaki and Vasudeva, however, now understand Their divine nature and stand in reverence, overwhelmed by awe. The lila shows how the Lord lovingly protects His devotees, destroys oppression, and at the same time honors family affection and dharma.
