Śāstra-mārga Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.7
Trinavarta carries away Krishna — the whirlwind demon is crushed by the weight of the Lord

Pramāṇa (Śāstra reference)

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Canto 10, Chapter 7 — after mother Yasoda places Krishna on the ground, the demon Trinavarta, sent by Kamsa, comes in the form of a whirlwind, covers Gokula with dust, and carries Krishna high into the sky. Krishna then becomes unbearably heavy, seizes the demon by the throat, and causes his death.

Saṅkṣepa (short meaning)

This lila reveals the inconceivable nature of the Supreme Lord hidden within His child form. Trinavarta comes with violence, confusion, dust, and fear, thinking he can easily steal and kill the child. But Krishna, though appearing as a helpless baby, becomes too heavy for the demon to carry and destroys him effortlessly. The lila teaches that the Lord is always the protector of His devotees, and that demonic power collapses when it tries to rise against Him.

Tattva (essential teaching) — with śāstra

The Lord remains all-powerful
The Lord’s apparent helplessness is part of His sweet vraja-lila; in truth He remains the all-powerful Supreme Person.
Demonic force cannot overpower Bhagavan
Demonic force may create confusion and fear, but it cannot overpower Bhagavan.
Vraja responds with parental love
The residents of Vraja respond with parental love and concern, not with philosophical calculation, and this protects the sweetness of their relationship with Krishna.
Krishna protects His devotees
Krishna protects His devotees even when they cannot understand how He is doing so.

Sevā today (practice for this day)

1. Pray for freedom from distraction
Chant one attentive round praying, “O Krishna, please remove the whirlwind of distraction from my heart.”
2. Take shelter of the Lord
Notice one source of agitation, confusion, or inner turbulence today and consciously take shelter of the Lord.
3. Remember Krishna’s control
Remember that what feels overwhelming to you is never beyond Krishna’s control.
What feels overwhelming to us is never beyond Krishna’s control.
